Morris Claiborne has impact ability and the Cowboys hope they found their shutdown corner.
Well, I've taken a couple of months off from writing any football material, but with training camp just a week away it's time to get back into the swing of things. So, I've decided to begin by randomly selecting NFL teams and identifying their top 10 prospects; I won't review all 32 teams, but I'll take suggestions through email or on Twitter.
The Dallas Cowboys were the first team selected at random.
Obviously, the NFL doesn't have a farm system like Major League Baseball where prospects are able to develop and prove their worth before being elevated to the show. In the NFL, the prospects drafted are expected to display their talents and make rosters immediately, but even though they made it to the professional ranks, we're still dealing with many young players that are in their early 20's and still progressing as players.
I classify an NFL prospect as a player entering up to their third-year in the NFL or under 25 years of age up until September 1st of the upcoming season, no matter their NFL tenure. With that said, find out who I selected as the Cowboys top 10 prospects entering the 2012 season.
